Super concrete (Polish Concrete)

An admixture is defined as a material used as an ingredient of the cementitious mixture to modify its freshly mixed, setting, or hardened properties and that is added to the batch before or during its mixture. These are natural or manufactured chemicals or additives added to concrete mixing.

Admixtures are used in concrete to alter its properties in various ways. These are mainly used for increasing the workability of concrete. They help in attaining early strength, controlling the heat of adhesion, and reducing bleeding and segregation. Besides they induce to increase or decrease curing time. Moreover, admixtures are used for aesthetical reasons such as changing the color of cement.
